System Upgrade: We’re improving for you!

SDFFCU is replacing our processing system over the weekend of January 31,2026 - February 1, 2026.

Our new system will be in place when we open on February 2, 2026, and will:

  • Help us to streamline our daily operations

  • Provide the opportunity to offer you more innovative products and services

  • Help us deliver better, more efficient member service

While we are doing our best to make this transition as seamless as possible, there will be some changes.  When we replace our processing system, we will also be replacing our home and mobile banking and bill payment systems with ones that more tightly integrate with our new processing system.

What is Changing

Bill Payment - Our Bill Payment provider is being replaced with a new provider that is more tightly integrated with the new Home and Mobile banking solutions.  To facilitate the transition, Bill Payment will not be available from 1/24/26 to 2/1/2026.  For payments that are normally initiated during this time, please accelerate the payment date for this month to a date prior to 1/24/26.  If you need assistance with this, please contact us.  The new Bill Payment solution will be available on Home Banking starting at 10am on February 2, 2026.  We are working to transition all your payments over to the new system.  However, please be sure to double-check your payees when you log on to the new system.  Please make note of your current payees as they are set up prior to 1/24/26.

24/7 Audio Teller - 24/7 Audio Teller will not be available from 3pm on Friday, January 30,2026 until 10am on Monday, February 2, 2026.  The new audio teller will be available through our main phone number (Option 2) as it is currently.  To utilize our new Audio Teller, you will need to enroll for this service on or after February 2,2026 by calling us at 800-973-3328 or stopping in our branch.

Home Banking - Home Banking will not be available from 3pm on Friday, January 30,2026 until 10am on Monday, February 2, 2026.  When you access the new system, you will need to set up your new on-line banking logon.  Specific instructions for this will be emailed directly to you.  Keep an eye on your emails for this information.  Access to e-statements and check copies for activity prior to 2/1/2026 will not be available on the new system. If you anticipate needing any of those items in the future, please take the time to download copies prior to 1/30/2026. You may also contact us at the credit union after that date to obtain copies.

Mobile Banking - Mobile banking apps will not be available from 3pm on Friday, January 30, 2026. It is expected that new mobile banking apps will be available on the Apple and Google Play stores by February 16, 2026, though it could be sooner. We will notify you by email as soon as the new apps are available for download. Prior to this, you will be able to use our new Home Banking on your computer or mobile device browser starting at 10am on Monday, February 2, 2026.  Mobile deposit will not be available during this period as it requires the use of the camera and the app on the mobile device.  Please use a local Shared Branch or come in if you need to make a deposit during this period.

What will stay the same

Account Numbers - Your existing account number(s) will remain unaffected by our computer System Upgrade NOTE: Though your base member account number will not change, the account suffixes will be changing from one character alpha-numeric to a three-digit number. Before setting up any new direct deposits after February 1, 2026, electronic transactions, or re-ordering checks, please contact us to verify you have the correct information.

Mastercard® Debit Cards - Your existing debit cards will continue to work after our computer System Upgrade. Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) also remain unaffected.

VISA® Credit Cards - Your existing credit cards will continue to work after our computer System Upgrade. Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) also remain unaffected.

Checks - Although your account number remains the same after the system upgrade, the MICR number on your checks will change upon re-order. Please contact the credit union before setting up any new direct deposits or electronic transactions to obtain the correct routing number and account number. You can continue to use your current supply of checks.

Direct Deposit of Payroll, Pension, and Social Security - Your direct deposits will continue to post to your account as they do today.

Automated Debits – Automatic payments initiated by your biller will not be affected by the system upgrade. These include recurring payments for utilities, phone service, insurance, loans, and other vendor-initiated transactions.

During this transition, your personal data and account information will be safe and secure as always.  Your funds will remain safe and secure, insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Share Insurance Fund up to $250,000 per account.

The entire SDFFCU staff would like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work to make your financial life even better through our system upgrade.  If you have any questions or comments along the way, please don’t hesitate to phone us at 619-283-5477.
