Maui Wildfire Relief
The devastating wildfires that ravaged the island of Maui and the town of Lahaina last week have caused many people to wonder how they can help the victims of these fires. Unfortunately, first responders such as Fire, Police and Lifeguards were also among those who lost family members, their homes and all their valuables. Charitable giving websites have popped up all over the internet, but many of those can be suspect and should be avoided.
SDFFCU contributed to the relief effort, and you can too!

The California Fire Foundation has started a relief fund for the citizens and firefighters impacted by the August 2023 Maui wildfire. The town of Lahaina and the entire state of Hawaii are reeling from the devastation, and 100% of proceeds will be directed to Hawaii Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 1463, who will directly administer aid to survivors of the fire and firefighters who have been injured and lost their homes in the wildfire.
